Where can I find a boot log?

I'm currently using Fedora Core 1 and I was wondering where I could find a log with all the stuff it checks for when first booting. I'm not talking about the hardware/software/driver 'yes no' part of the boot but the stuff prior to it.

it sort of goes like this
hdc: something, something, something
hde: something, something, something

because Fedora has an unusually long boot time and gets stuck at this one part:

hde: something negative

and I would like to actually post the boot log so I can point to the specific problem.

I found a couple of sites that explain the boot sequence in detail, reading them may help you. Take a look at this as well.

Both sites are slightly dated but they should point you in the right direction.
