where can i download the atheros AR5001+ wireless adapter driver for a toshiba laptop
 

Hey Everyone ,


I Have a Toshiba Satellite A35-S159 laptop which was recently revamped with a new hard drive and Slack 12.0 installed on it. I need the driver for the wireless adapter which is the Atheros AR5001+ adapter. Any idea where I can download it from? I searched on google and I was not able to find any download sites for that particular driver. I was able to find a driver for the AR5002 adapter but I do not know if that driver will work with my hardware.. any suggestions?

The MADWifi project appears to be the place. Follow the above link to the madwifi sourceforge page.

It should not matter that it is a laptop or what make/model of laptop.

EDIT - while I don't see *specifically* the device "5001+" many of the 5001's have the same chipset in them. Chances are good the driver will work.

EDIT2 - Your older post HERE was looking for the 5000X+ driver. Is this/not the same device?
