where and how to install source cd's

Hello All:

I'm trying to install a lt winmodem, and need to install the source cd's.
How do I install the source cd's (I know how to mount the cd-rom)? Where should I install the source to?

Distro and version please.
Do you mean you need to install the kernel source/header packages?

re: where and how to install source cd's

This is on RH 7.3.

Yes, for the install of ltmodem drivers. So I figure I'll install the two source cd's that are part of the distro.

And apparently I only know how to mount the cdrom. How do I unmount it, or, at least, close the bay after I eject?

Looking forward to your reply.
