Whenever I try to boot a Linux Distro from a USB it goes to an eternal black screen
I've tried countless of USB booters, such as Universal Usb, Rufus, Unetbootin. They seem to work fine as I can boot to the point to where boots to the options menu, where it says you want to install or try before you install or what have you. However whenever I try to install or test out the OS before installing it, it takes me to black screen which can't get out off without powering off.

Black screen on what? Was a md5sum check done before installing to usb?
I get a black screen after I attempt to install the OS through the Boot menu that presented. Instead of taking me to the installation process it just black screens every time. Doesn't matter if its Mint, Ubuntu, Deepin, Elementary, Opensuse, Fedora, or anything, it continually does this.

What kind of computer are you trying to install on?
It's a Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop, nothing special.
Next time you boot it up, select try before installing.
What os are you using to burn media windows vista, 7 or 8?

The laptop arrives with Windows 8.1 installed and so uses the new EFI secure boot system. This needs to be disabled in the BIOS to boot Linux (power on, hit F12, switch the BIOS boot option to Legacy – Secure Boot Off, boot from USB…). |
As I've mentioned in the beginning, it doesn't matter if I choose install or try before installing, it takes me to the same black screen.
I'm using my Windows 8 Desktop which already has Linux installed on it, and I tried what you said rokytnji, but it didn't work.
