when running ./configure it finds no database support available

Hey Guys and Gals, I am following the "Perfect Server DEBIAN LENNY with ISPCONFIG 3" article (available on sourceforge) everything installed fine except when I try to build MYDNS using ./configure it comes back saying it cannot find any database support like this:

Code:
checking for MySQL support... no
checking for PostgreSQL support... no
checking which database to use... none
configure: error: No supported database found. Either MySQL or PostgreSQL is required.
Well when I fire up ISPCONFIG it actually sees MSQL as being active. The instructions do not offer troubleshooting options and I am a SEMI-NOOBY at this and I am wondering WHAZUP with ./CONFIGURE

Thanks
Russ

Talking Bingo !!!!

Uncle Theo you were exactly right, I ran APT-GET install libmysqlclient15-dev ,ran update and upgrade then rebooted to cover all the bases then ran ./configure in the MYDNS-1.2.8 directory and it picked up MYSQL and finished the configure. I then ran make and make install and BINGO it was finished and installed, now all I have to do is figure out how to set up MYDNS correctly. SO I must thank you very much for your correct diagnoses and treatment.

Oh by the way we are neighbors sort of, you live in Kanawha County and I live in Lincoln County ( West Hamlin )

I have not figured out how to bump your thank you tally yet but thanks from me....
