Hi all,

When installing Mandrake 9.1 on my laptop I am at the stage of selecting the type of mouse. What type of mouse should I choose for a touchpad laptop type? It seems that if I just pick "other" or "ps2 standard", on the next page the mouse doesn't move! - Bit stuck here...

I could of course do the text install...but I'd like to get this sorted as I don't want to end up installing linux and finding out I can't use the mouse on kde.

Also I should mention I have tried using a PS2 mouse, and the problem persists.

Any help guys?

What laptop is it? You should test it first, if it doesn't work, use the 'tab' button to navigate to cancel and try another one until you find which one works for setup. Try the bus mouse, I've always had luck though with the ps2..

On mine, I used ps2 standard and it worked pretty good.

On my notebook (Dell Inspiron 7500) under RH when I choose standard 2-button PS/2 the touchpad works like a charm.
