When Epson printer prints endless jibber how do you stop it?
HI,
I was trying to copy(print) a document on my scanner through Gimp and my printer, an "Epson Stylus Photo 700", just starts printing out an endless amount of jibberish and I can't stop it. I tried the "Print Jobs Manager" with no results. It just keeps on going, and going and going. How do I stop it in a console? Thanks, Tmitch70377 |

Note that--in GIMP--you have to setup the printer in the print dialog--even if it is already configured for other programs. "setup printer" tab--just below the printer select dialog near the top of the print menu |
when epsons start printing gibberish, just pull the plug form teh printer!, they somtimes do this even when the driver is working :-o
and nothing you do in software will stop, even unplugginge teh printer (usb or parrel) cable will not stop it! |

Hi, I want to thank you guys for your help, and taking it easy on the "old & stupid", it's taken a lot of time and effort to get that way.:D
Thank you very much, Terry:newbie: |
Alternatively, you leave it alone and it'll stop printing after a while. Takes a really long while, though, even 1kb .txt files take up reams of paper
