When Browsing.. System crashes

At first I thought it was firefox, i have reinstalled it many times, but the problem was still here so I have reinstalled slackware 10.1 again.

I Have used conquer and the same thing has happened, I am not sure which part causes this problem, it appears out of nothing at anytime, I tried to open my hotmail email using firefox and conquer, i go to my inbox check my new email, then it crashes, i restarted then while i was trying to download firefox it crashes again, I browse linxuquestion.org post a new topic and reply and there is no problem, I visit my site and everything is fine, and the wired thing is that when it crashes the whole system crashes which means I have to press on the little button in order to restart and this happens when I browse the net. I have also installed flash for firefox but the problem is still there.

I assume some plugins are missing or sth else....I dunno.

I would appreciate any support.

Thanks

Maybe you have a hardware issue? Did this just start happening? Have you cleaned the inside of your computer lately? I could be wrong, but will Firefox lock up your whole system? This is why I think it might be a hardware issue. Check cable connections, and check to make sure your fans are working properly. Try starting Firefox from the command line, and when it does crash, check for error messages. Hope this points you in the right direction.

Sounds suspiciously like a hot cpu. Clean out the dust and install a system monitor to keep an eye on the cpu tmps.
