i have SuSE 9.1 and everytime i try to connect with kopete AIM, it always connects, then disconnects. how do i fix this? and can i get a version of AIM?
Of course, you could always just download AOL's official AIM client for Linux. Keep in mind that it will only work with the AIM network, whereas Kopete and Gaim can work on many more networks (MSN, ICQ, Yahoo, etc).
A.D.D. -- just a suggestion: Rather than to use generic titles in your threads (a title such as "what's up with this?" does not give anyone the slightest idea as to the subject of your question), use specific titles (in this case, maybe "Trouble using Kopete AIM under Suse 9.1" would be appropriate)
A lot of people might just skip over threads with vague titles because they'd rather spend their time concentrating on topics that they think they can help with. -- J.W.
