Whats the max file size on FC2?
Because we have an Oracle database installation running on the OS and one of the data files is 7GB. Are wi in some kind of danger of system failure?
The OS was updated frequently, but I am not sure if another file system (ext3 instead of ext2?) is ever updated like that automatically.

Yeah, you'll be fine, I forget what the maxfile size is...however, you're more likely to run in to a problem with a program not being able to access a file larger than 2gb more so than the OS crapping out on you.
I want to say maxfilesize is 4TB with regular equipment.

No,... that's VOLUME SIZE
And it's 2TB, not 4...
For Max filesize on EXT3 see here:
Block size...file size
1 kb..............16 GB
2 kb..............256 GB
4 kb..............2048 GB
8 kb..............2048 GB
That is on a 2.4 kernel, which FC2 is...

Hmm, I googled around and there are many reports of max filesize for FC2 as 2GB. It seems not to be the case though, as you point out.
Thanks
