whats my serial port?

how do i found out what the device name thing is for my serial port, like the hd is /dev/hda how do i tell what my serial port is

here is the linux naming for serial ports (with reference to window$)

/dev/ttys0 - COM1
/dev/ttys1 - COM2 .......

that is it.
