what to do menu in mandrake 9.1 suddenly appeared

hi, im using mandrake 9.1 and all of a sudden a menu in KDE named "-> what to do?" has appeared out of the blue! it looks like a mandrake menu as it has the start next to it. ive tried removing it via menudrake and kmenuedit but neither have any joy, menudrake doesnt display and kmenuedit does, but doesnt remove it when it says it has.

anyone know how to remove it? and could you explain what exactly your doing so if anything like this happens in future ill know the drill and not just following orders :P

cheers!

Hello.
That is just a simplified menu (doesn't contain all apps in the regular menu), sometimes it's added in addition to the regular menu. If you open up menudrake and choose menustyles, you should be able to get rid of it.

ahh yeh i got it! thanks mate, funnilly enough before you sent me that it actually went of of its own accord?? but ive gone into menudrake and i see what you mean regarding the menu styles button, i think the only one i DIDNT press lol :P

i gotta say, i dunno if its mandrake or KDE but the whole system seems quite random. sometimes it runs so ncie and its gorgeous and a real joy to use, but 80% of the time it will have little hiccups, like not launching my home dir caus ekfmclient cant launch "konqueror.desktop" (another problem, whose only workaround i found was to make the comand for home "konqueror profile filemanagement" (or something similar), and the little 'busy' watch icon? well that stays indefinatly now for the desktop until i launch the "configure desktop" applet thingy by right click -> configure desktop.....

kindof annoying lil things that just bug me! overall seems nice though. what would people recommend for stability? KDE or gnome? KDE seems quite bugged in its apps etc, such as kmail crashes whenever i change account settintgs on it (account name etc)

ahhh welll..lol
