What the F?
Ok, here's the situation...This morning I use the Mandrake Package Manager to check for updates. I selected all of the updates that were in the security category. One of them was a kernel update. I don't know which version though. So I download (I wish the process indicator bars worked during this stage) and install the updates. (Mandrake is doing all the work and I'm just sitting back watching/waiting.) When that's finished I shut down the computer and leave. I come back tonight, boot into linux and bam! I'm slapped in the face with the following message:
Loading Mandrake EBDA too big What the heck is going on and what can I do about it? |
According to some searching on mandrake's site, the problem is probably due to the kernel update. Go here and enter EBDA into the KEYWORDS box. You'll get a list of threads that might be of help.

Thanks linuxcool but I just went ahead and reinstalled it. That seems to be the solution for all of the problems I've encountered.
