Question what should do after rpmbuild?


Build kernel

After doing :

Install kernel*.src.rpm
cd /usr/src/redhat/SPECS
rpmbuild -ba kernel*.spec

What should i do next??

Go to /usr/src/redhat/RPMS/arch/. Substitute, the arch bit with the real architecture that you built the rpm for. Your rpm should be in there and all you would need to do is install it.

is it by issueing this command one by one??

rpm -i kernel-debuginfo-2.6.5-1.358.root.i386.rpm
rpm -i kernel-doc-2.6.5-1.358.root.i386.rpm
rpm -i kernel-source-2.6.5-1.358.root.i386.rpm

You are right, but you can also do it all in one command like

#rpm -Uvh kernel-doc-2.6.5-1.358.root.i386.rpm kernel-source-2.6.5-1.358.root.i386.rpm etc,
so that any dependencies are automatically sorted out. Are you trying to build a kernel from a source rpm. If so just wondering where the newly built kernel is.
