hey i just think this may be helpful for those who cant login a GUI screen

if startx did not work try typing gdm it will bring you to the rhl GUI login! £Ä3

try editing /etc/inittab to login GUI! £Ä3

I've re-installed Red Hat Linux. It worked well this time. Now i am getting the desktop. No problem.

Probably i had an improper installation in the first instance.
