what log file would tell me who is trying to hack my site?

Just curious as to what log(s) I should be looking at to determine if someone is trying to ssh into my site and such? Thanks!

Hey visiony,

Thats a little vague.. each application may log its messages to different places,

eg.

/var/log/secure - libwrap compiled daemons
/var/log/messages - pretty much the default log location
/var/log/httpd/access_log - apache access logs
/var/log/httpd/error_log - apache error logs

cheers,

kbp
