What Linux distribution is the best for a web server
I'm going to be building a web server that supports Linux but I don't know what distribution of Linux is best for running a web server? Or should I use Free BSD? Thanks Kaltwasser
It really depends on what your needs are, and how much are tweaking you are willing to do... I'm using FreeNAS for my networked attached storage *based off of FreeBSD/Monowall*...
The BSDs are generally pretty good for servers, but that's just my opinion...
You can build your web server on any distro. What I suggest you is to use the distro that you are most familiar with, and then build the web server on top of it. This way you avoid learning the peculiarities of a new distro and focus on getting the server running.
