what lib do I need to mount dvd automatically?

What lib do I need to mount automatically or show a message of what to do with dvd that I pop in into the dvd rom?
I'm using kde

if you are using slackware you will need to install howl, hal and messagebus (dbus). this enables dvds etc to be mounted automatically. also you may need to configure kde to display mounted devices....

these packages come with FRG Gnome, dropline etc. but can also be had at
