What kind of file is this?


prw------- 1 uniswim psacln 0 Jul 15 2004 _bdz0wuzn.pipe

never seen one starting with a 'prw'

it is a pipe inode or fifo

Try in a xterm :
Code:
cd ~
mkfifo stefaandk_pipe
ls -l stefaandk_pipe
Now to use it, open a second xterm and type :

cat stefaandk_pipe
In the first xterm, type :
Code:
ls > stefaandk_pipe
look for output in the second xterm
