What is the purpose of lib64? How does it serve it's purpose?
 
What is lib64? Is it related to programming? And what is it's purpose? I just want to find out some information about the lib64 in case if I need to use it later on in my career. Thanks.

Are you talking about the /lib64 directory? It should just store 64-bit library files which are loaded by programmes. So it's the same as /lib, just for 64-bit libraries.
