What is the command to restart cups in fedora 4?


I'm trying to restart cups in fedora. . . I have a guy who's really going above and beyond to help me but he doesnt run fedora, . . . and I'm dumb as a brick . . . .

You can use the "Services" program, under System - Administration. Find CUPS and click restart.

Alternatively, as root:

/etc/init.d/cups restart

Also, look at man chkconfig. FC4 has a nasty habit of removing the CUPS service from the list of services when a new kernel is installed, and you need to do a chkconfig --add cups to get it back into the list of available services. This doesn't happen all the time, only about one of three kernel upgrades.
