What is the cause of the "L" at the begin of boot and how to solve it?
I am sorry here since I have seen at least 3 threads concerning it I have tried searching but can not find the key word.
Would someone post some information here (links, contents, etc), so that after people have a reference to search for it? Many thanks. |
Is your system booting? Or you just see an "L" and everything goes fine?

Are you using LILO for your bootloader?

Where have you installed LILO to?
"L" just signifies that LIlo is having problems loading the second stage. |
Thank you all. I have never encouted this problem before. But I remember there are several threads about this problem: when booting up, they just see a "L" or some "L"s on the screen and the system halts. I tried to search for these threads but can not find the keyword.
So, I outlined a more clearer topic and *hope* to close this problem and make it convinent for other newbies like me:) Again, thank you all. |
