what is recompile kernel?
when someone states that they've recompiled the kernel, i would imagine that this just makes the changes work w/ the kernel?
then i suppose this bring up the question of integrated w/ the kernel, and modularity. do the modular distros then not need to be recompiled?
what are the commands to recompile the kernel, and when is it necessary (the integrated/ modular distro question again???)?
