what is Puppet Tool in Linux


Recently i heard this word can you anyone help me to exlpain what exactly it is ?
because i am new to Linux.

Welcome. While looking for Puppet, you might also look up Chef, Ansible, CFEngine, Radmind, and the other configuration management tools. How many machines are you looking to maintain and configure?

Puppet is an open source alternative to commercial IT configuration management tools. In this column, one of Puppets founders discusses how the tool can be useful in the data center. Maybe this will be helpful.

I always thought that puppet was the non-linux version of ssh. But I don't know what puppet is as I've never used it.
