What is difference of firewall and selinux?

Hi,

I 'm a newbie linux user.
Now there 're many things I want to learn.

I doubt what 's difference of firewall and selinux.
As far as I know...
Firewall is security software for block unauthorized others connection.
selinux is Linux-based security software.

If somebody know, please tell me know.

Thanks.

Security-Enhanced Linux (SELinux) is a Linux feature that provides a mechanism for supporting access control security policies, including U.S. Department of Defense style mandatory access controls, through the use of Linux Security Modules (LSM) in the Linux kernel. It is not a Linux distribution, but rather a set of modifications that can be applied to Unix-like operating systems, such as Linux and BSD.

A firewall is a part of a computer system or network that is designed to block unauthorized access while permitting authorized communications. It is a device or set of devices configured to permit, deny, encrypt, decrypt, or proxy all (in and out) computer traffic between different security domains based upon a set of rules and other criteria.
