what is diff between that fedora and debian kernal
i heared from many that there are 2 type of base kernal namely fedora and debian linux kernal(i dont know about other)
what is the difference between the both.... which is better to use.... thanks in advance |
Most distributions come with their own custom precompiled kernel and they are the same basic kernel but just different things compiled into them. There is very little difference in between the different distributions kernels, and they are basically the same to use.
but while taking about other distro they will majorly talk about 2 kernal why it is so...?
I think you mean distro, because the only kernel I here people talking about is the kernel.org kernel. The 2 main packaging formats are rpm(red hat package manager) and deb(debian), and fedora is basically the non-enterprise version of red hat
thanks for the information.... so there is no difference in the kernal level.... is it
They just compile different options into their kernels
thanks for the help
