what is atrpms?


what is atrpms and why is it that everytime i try to install a prog that this requires i get errors about compatability with apt

rpm -> it is used on Red Hat, Mdk...
apt-get -> debian, ...

which distro do you use ?

i am trying to use it (atrpms) on fedora and i get apt compatability errors. I googled to try to find some info and i found to do a dist upgrade, but way too many things are going to be uninstalled to do that, including synaptic.
