Resolving "issues" is one of the best ways to learn. Experimenting and possibly creating issues is another.

I don't have nearly as much to offer as other members but I have a few things to say.
# Distros that just worked for me: Lubuntu (Ubuntu with LXDE/LXQT) Crunchbang (Now a continuation by the Crunchbang community called: Bunsen Labs) Debian with Gnome And Bodhi Linux (Based on Ubuntu, features the Moksha desktop) came close to an distro that just worked out of the box. I used a Compaq Presario CQ60 for those first three distros and an old Sony VAIO notebook from like 2001 for Bodhi Linux. I would consider all these distros, with the exception of Debian with Gnome. to be lightweight. |
