Exclamation What distro can I install ?

Hello everybody, I very like linux and i want to install a linux OS in my computer .But i hear some people said some linux distro can not install in SATA disk .My computer have configuration : cpu intel 2.66 ghz, mainboard ASUS P5GLMX and hard disk SATA SEAGATE 80 Gb.Now i don't know what distro can i install ? i like FC 4,but i don't known can it install in my SATA disk ? Can you help me? Thank very much!

Most current distros will recognize a SATA disk. With Debian, I would recommend the Testing distribution.

A quick search on returns that debian installs on sata.
