Question What config file controls services?

What determines which services start on boot?

chkconfig for most redhat users. This will usually correspond to entries in /etc/init.d And for other distros it might be /etc/rc.d and then the runlevel it's booting to, so let's say 3:
/etc/rc.d/rc3.d OR /etc/rc.d/rc.3

Cool
