What are the benefits to encrypting your home folder? What are RAIDS? SSH?
 

I want to know, what are the benefits? What are the draw backs of it? What are the differences in speed? Is it password protected? Also, what are RAIDS? I've been hearing about it recently, what are they and how do I get them?

Lastly, how do you set up an SSH? SSH is more out of curiosity. I have a spare laptop running Fedora 14. Any dangers to a "Secure Shell"?
