nope Red Hat seems to use ifconfig. If I do a "whereis" for ifconfig it does find it.

If I type "ifconfig" all by itself I also get command not found.

log in as su - (su hyphen)

Or do as normal su
/sbin/ifconfig eth0

Or in Gnome in one of the systems mentions "Network"

To Poetics and others: yeah sorry bout my "su" info, should be su followed by an enter and password.

I tried the super and su, both like sorta same to me, but i guess doesnt matter for me right now, heh

I did not realize you need to specify where to launch the file from. Cool, thanks.
