I have installed it using deb and sudo dpkg -i <package>. Any ideas on how with wget (post #1) for end users?

Are we executing or installing when we do this below?
Code:
wget https://github.com/Splode/pomotroid.git
$chmod +x pomotroid
$sudo mv pomotroid /usr/local/bin/
pomotroid

you do not need to install things to make them work. You have just downloaded something, moved to another location and executed. But it is not the official way to install it.
