Went to full screen in Yahoo Mail ,now can't get out


I went to full screen in Yahoo Mail. Now the upper protion of the screen is missing with all the controls including shut down, How do I get out?

i usually Ctrl + Alt + F1 login and 'sudo poweroff' or such

Most browsers toggle the fullscreen option with the F11 key, have you tried that?

Edit: i guessed OS (but yes could be browser)? some times Ctrl + Alt + Esc brings up the cool little kill cursor as well to click anything away

Alt+Spacebar brings up a control menu also.

poweroff? That's a bit overkill

If none of the suggestions before work (F11, Alt+Space, Ctrl+Alt+Esc), you can always use Ctrl+Alt+F1-6 to get to a TTY, log in as yourself, and then just kill your browser ("killall chrome" or similar).

or +++ login, top(Command), kill pid# I did not know you can just put killall or kill appName i guess just opposite of running an app from a term thx

In another help site, was told a right click on the X in the upper right corner of the screen will bring up " exit full screen " This worked so I have not tried the others listed above Thanks though. towler

you only (maybe moderators) can click [solved], i learned a few good tricks here thx

Above your first post you will find a menu called "Thread Tools". You will find the option to mark a thread as solved in there.
