Weird Startup of X
When I start my machine, an IBM TP 600E laptop loaded with SuSe 9.0 it boots straight into X with no prompt for a password, like it is in Single User Mode. I checked "/etc/inittab" and that is set to run level "5". What else should I be looking for? It just began this behavior this morning.

Look at the settings for KDM, it has a auto-login feature that may have been turned on: Kde Control Center (kcontrol)>Administrative>Login Manager.

That was it. Yesterday, I switched from an inittab setting of 3 to a setting of 5. KDE must have altered my setting thereafter. Thanks for the reply.
