Weird Gentoo Problem

It really isn't hurting anything I guess it is more annoying.

When I open up Folding@Home,xmms,and MozillaFirebird. Not only does it open it but it opens it 5 times. I have a script that runs Folding in order to keep its files in its directory but xmms and Mozilla are just run from command.

Anybody have clue as to what could be causing this.

Btw, I thought that Fluxbox was doing it but it even does it when I run them from the console.

The non active processes that are running just sit idle and don't mess with the running ones.

I'm confused.

Does it actually open up 5 windows, or do you simply notice 5 instances in your ps or top report? When you run these from a console, is there any info that might help us help you?
