Weird error

Hello all,

everytime i try to run certain things on linux it gives me this message (or something the same)

You are attempting to run "redhat-install-packages" which requires administrative privileges, but more information is needed in order to do so.

i tried the same password as my account but it didnt work and i cant remember i typed 1 in the setup (is it numbers only or is it letters only or something? )

at that "error" doesn't it tell u to enter root password?
i believe that is what u are talking about

just enter the password u made during your redhat install (it is case sensitive alpha-numeric, but it depends on the pass u made)

if u lost your root password, browse these forums, there are many who have lost their root passwords and there should be plenty of info here
