Webserver/FTP administration question
 

I have a machine running Apache and ProFTPD, Mandrake 8.1.
I am using this machine to host a few domains I have, I am the only one who has access to this machine.
I created one user account for myself, how can I make it so when I FTP to the machine I have total control over all the directories.
I figured I could just log in as root, but that doesn't work, the FTP doesn't accept root as a user.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hum Some Ftpserver do not accept root user... And some others do. I guess your doesn't but I dunno ProFtp. Try Ftp4All,I know you can access with Root user on that one.
