webcam doesn't work

Hello friends,
This is my first question. I'm a venezuelan ubuntu 8.10 user; my english language isn't so well, sorry for it. My webcam doesn't work with amsn; but in the past it worked with ubuntu 7.10 or 7.04 ( I can't remember exactly).
Actually it functions automatically with "cheeese" and "ekiga" but I need it works with amsn. It's a MegaPower PC camera; At the Terminal it's recognized as "093a:2460 Pixart Imaging, Inc. Q-TEC WEBCAM 100"

Thanks for help me. I'll be waiting for reply. Bye.

Which module does it use?
From a google search it looks like gspca module

If so search here for gspca amsn. Or possible search on
Seems to be some strange issues with the way it is compiled with that ID.
