what you want to?
how liux work? how it recognize device?
Windows let your mind in jail.
If i say you this, it's because the true reside in your heard, not in your pocket.
I enjoy all day when i help someone. But the minimum to say if you want help, it's to have a problem. the only problem i see on you, you don't like work.
tell us the machine your are, the distrib you use, the webcam model, what were you trying to install to do your webcam work, and so on.
it's the minimum to enter.

Ignore back_to_linux, he doesn't seem to understand the community.
Is your webcam USB? If so, plug it in and see the output of 'dmesg' and 'lsusb'. See how it is detected. Also, provide a detailed model number if you have it.
