Web page does not load

Hi everyone,

I have a problem on loading our own website from our
linux server, not too long ago we could access our website
from any workstations (windows based). But just recently we could no longer access our website. It says "The page cannot be displayed".

I have two linux server, first is the mail/web server and
other one is the proxy server. So the web server does not load
our webpage. Now my question is what could have gone wrong?

Which directory and/or configuration files and even html
files that i will look into to see to it that everything is properly
configured and in place?

By the way my web server is running on red hat Linux 5.2
(quiet old) and my proxy server is running on red hat linux 7.0.

Please help me on this coz i am just a newbie and the one
supposedly will handle this is no longer connected to our
company.

God bless.

Which diagnostic means have you
undertaken so far?

What changes have been done?
Can the windows machines still
ping the box OK? How about telnet?

Does the page display on the server
itself?
Can you view it from the proxy?

Cheers,
Tink

Web page does not load

Hello,

First thanks for the reply Tinkster.

Yes i could still ping and telnet the mail/web & proxy servers.
both are running.

I dont know what diagnostics test that you mean.
And i dont know how could i view it on the server itself
(which is running on red hat 5.2) much more where
would i view the html files that need to be loaded.

What are the usual process of loading the html files?
I mean which directory would i put it and what configuration
file that i should touch? Do the proxy server affect the loading
of the mail/web server ? Coz in our case the registered ip
for our website is the mail/web server not the proxy server.

Thanks in adavance for any help.

God bless.
