Warning: File 'sendmail.cf' has modification time in the future
Hi,
I've just installed Redhat 9 on my computer and I keep getting the following message as my computer boots up (it takes a few moments saying "Starting: sendmail" before this message comes up): Make: ***Warning: File 'sendmail.cf' has modification time in the future (2004-03-06 12:36:20 > 2004-03-06 02:07:06.164343) make: warning: clock skew detected. Your build may be incomplete. I don't really know what this all means. I saw another message thread that said that you need to use ntp to update your clock with Internet time. So I've done that. I even reinstalled so that I could do it all properly, including using ntp. But it still comes up with a message like that above. Does anyone know what the problem is? Redhat also runs super-slow (I have an AMD Athlon 800 MHz, with about 390MB RAM). Would this problem be causing it to run so slow? Thanks, Gerard. |
