Wanting to use LILO.. but can't

Hello, I'm about as new as they get with linux, but I'm learning.
I reinstalled redhat 9 today and told it to use LILO instead of GRUB, and everything seemed to be ok until I rebooted after installation and I'll be damned if it wasn't GRUB! I booted from the cd again and selected the option which lets you switch boot loaders and selected LILO, but in the end it gave me some odd error and said the boot loader configuration would not be changed. What is going on here?

Sorry but I do not quite understand something.

Did you install the LILO or GRUB during the installation? Which one do you want?

Whats going on is probably that lilo does not support your setup. I've had this before. Usually it's because your system drive is either not a master, or is sharing a channel with somthing lilo does'nt like. It could also be the size of said drive.
