want to use kmail instead of thunderbird

I am on Kubuntu 8.04 and using TB for email. Kmail is installed but apparently not configured. It also doesn't appear in Kmenu. Could anyone help with the transition, eg setting up accounts, importing TB mail, etc.

Hello ahurd,

the mailaccounts in kmail are setup the same way as in thunderbird. If you use the imap-protocol you don't have to import any mail since the mail are hosted by your provider.

If you use pop3 or want to import an adressbook, kmail provides you with wizziards for this purposes.

If you have more questions, please post more informations.
