Want to set hostname permanently on new fedora install

When I installed fedora core 3 on my gateway 7200x, the network card wasn't recognized, so i didn't have an opportunity to set the hostname through the installer. Now that I have the NIC working, I want to set my hostname.

How doI do it?

The command:

hostname <put hostname here>

Only sets the hostname of the machine UNTIL the machine gets rebooted. If you want to set it permanently, then you need to look under: /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ or /etc/sysconfig/network to find 'hostname' entry. I don't remember exactly where in redhat but you can just do a grep and that will help you.
