[SOLVED] want to download vsftpd for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.1 (Tikanga)

i want to enable the communication b/n ibm tsm server and ESX server . for that reason i want instal /etc/init.d/vsftpd in my sys. But iam unable to find the link which can provide me this software [/COLOR]. any help wil be appreciated

Can you please verify whether you server have yum installed.
if yes than run this command.

Code:

yum list | grep vsftpd

if the package is available than run

Code:

yum install vsftpd

Or search vsftpd rpm in google.

i think my server is yum installed, because it is showing as
command not found if type the command yum list|grep vsftpd

rpm search downloads are blocked by my proxy . can u suggest any other link .

Can you please tell how you installed your server? as in CD, DVD or from some location?and can you access that now?

tnx rahul , we have enabled the communication b/n tsm and linux sftp as it was working in secure shell we found ftp would not work .
