jay73, this one looks definitely more right than the one I found! The one I found, in its listed chapters, looks more like Linux in nutshell, which covers how to use Linux. I was wondering how different could that one be from the nutshell one. Great! I think I will go for this book. Is there a newer edition of it? This one is Edition 1 and it's published in 2007. Do you think it's new enough? I mean how much changes did linux undergo in the last 2 years? Thank you!

Considering it focuses on the command line, the book is still perfectly up to date. For a wider picture, including chapters on graphical user interfaces and managing servers, you will find the Red Hat book more to your taste - but those are also the parts that evolve quite fast so even recent books cannot always be up to date.
As suggested, you may want to read the pdf books on tldp before you buy any of these; they do offer a lot of useful information.
