VSFTPD on Centos 5.6.
 
Hey Guys.


Iam trying to install vsftpd on centos 5.6 and iam getting an error..

all i did was yum install vsftpd


---then ...service vsftpd start...

---i then get the error failed.

I havent touched the vsftpd config file at all...
Could you assist?

Hi Brian,

What was the error message that you got when you tried to start vsftp service?

Paste the output of the following commands:

1. Run this command:
Code:
service vsftpd start
Once you get the error message. Paste it in this thread.

2. Paste the output of:
Code:
tail /var/log/messsages
3. Paste the output of:
Code:
cat /etc/vsftpd/vsftpd.conf
