I've installed vsftpd using apt-get on my Debian system. It appears that after install a vsftpd a script is placed in my init.d for launching this at startup. But it doesn't start.
I've attempted to call "sudo /etc/init.d/vsftpd start" and the service won't run (verified with ps aux). There is no log in my /var/log/vsftpd.log so now I'm STUCK. What else should I be doing to get this to run?
I've configured a /etc/vsftpd.conf file as follows:
Code:
listen=YES
pasv_min_port=7000
pasv_max_port=7050
pasv_enable=YES
anonymous_enable=NO
local_enable=YES
local_umask=022
write_enable=YES
dirmessage_enable=YES
use_localtime=YES
xferlog_enable=YES
ftpd_banner=Welcome to Spark Genesis FTP service.
pam_service_name=vsftpd
userlist_enable=YES
userlist_file=/etc/vsftpd.userlist
userlist_deny=NO
Thank You,
Craig
