Vpn ???
i have search thru and found there are numbers of sulutions that can establish a VPN network. they are
- Freeswan (IPSEC) - CIPE - PPTP - SSH so, among them, which one is the most reliable? i want to setup a VPN as soon as possible. pls, give some comments of each of the VPN solutions. thanks. |
The people I know with VPNs on Linux all use FreeSWAN. The advantage is that the machine at the other end can be just about any OS that supports IPSEC in IPV4.
I know that PPTP used to have problems with its security, dunno if they've fixed these know. Haven't got a clue about CIPE. SSH will only allow you to forward ports and use ssh terminal session etc, if this is all use need their its quick and easy, but isn't transparent to the user/applications. cheers Jamie... |
